A. Who is Paul?
1. jew/phar/Rmcit/tents/gam’s pupil/brilliant/zealous/persecuted nt church
2. trip2damascus35ad/J appears2him/paul puts faith n J/studies ot 3yrs
3. spreads gospel/plants churches thru RE/recog as apostle by chs/leaders
4. main message: non jews can b saved w/o adopting jewish rel 1st.
5. main wk: planted @ least 14 churches/wrote 14 bks of B
6. read acts27: paul’s travels from Jer 2 Rm (20-25yrs later/1500miles)
a. as pauls impact grew, jew oppos grew & led 2 his arrest n Jer
b. after4trials b4 rm officials & 2assin plots, paul is sent 2 Rm 4 trial

B. take aways from Paul’s trip 2 Rm 
1. the trip 2 Rm itself: Ps desire & Gs prom
a. G heard/honored Pauls request/desire *all Gs proms r yes/hates2sayno
1) rm1 1thing I cont pray 4 is the opport G willing 2come 2 c u.
2) ps37 delite urself n the L & he’ll give u the desires of ur heart.
3) 1jn3 wat great luv the F’s lav on us that we should b called his kids
4) matt7 if u evil f’s do good things4ur kids how much more will ur....
5) heb4 let us wth confid draw near 2Gs throne of grace that we may find grace & exper Gs help n his perfect timing
6) jm4 we have not because we ask not & ask wth wrong motives
b. G made a prom 2 Paul n acts23 that he’d go 2 Rm
1) huge oppos/obstacles2paul getting2Rm but 28:14 paul arrived n Rm
2) wat G says always come true no matter how long/unrealistic/imposs/ politically incorrect/offensive. **no matter wat/no matter wat.
3) no idea more stressed n B than “& it occurred just as L said”
4) jos21 not 1 of Gs good proms G made 2 his pep has failed
5) 2pet1 because of Gs glory/excel hes given us his great/prec proms
            which enable us 2 share n Gs divine nature & escape worlds corrupt
2. how much unneces waste/loss could have been avoided if Gs wisdom/ warnings had not been ignored. 
a. vs22 if u had listened2me u would have avoided all this damage/loss.
b. how foolish/strange we cant find time 2 rybd/pray/chur/misstrip2grow n wise/char/rel&spir health/mercy but seem2find time2undo damage from ignoring Gs way/plans. *no time4church/counseling but4lawyers
c. jer22 I cont warned u when u were prosperous but u said, dont bother me. u have been that way since childhood cont unwilling 2 obey me.
d. pr1 I called u so many xs but u wouldnt come. I reached out2u but u paid no atten. u ignored my advice/rejected my correction.
e. heb2 wat makes us think we’ll b except/escap if we ignor Gs great sal
f. matt7 he who listens2/follows my teaching is wise like 1who builds a house on solid rk&when rain/floods/wind crash down it wont collapse because its built on rock. But he who hears my teaching/doesnt follow it is foolish like 1who builds a house on sand&when the rains/floods/ winds come, that house will collapse with a mighty crash.
g. ps1 O the joys of those who delight n Gs law& med on it cont. They r like flourishing/fruitful trees that dont wither/prosper n all they do. But not the wicked! They create&exper worthless/scattered lives that
         end n condem/judg/wont have a pl among the godly4 the L guards 
         the path of the godly but the path of the wicked leads2 destruction.
h. pr says key differ n wise/fool both must wk/battle/endure but 1s cont build/grow/advan&1 is cont repairing/starting over/no roots/foundatio
i. we spend more time repairing damage from not doing things Gs way than the time requir 2discover/follow Gs will/ways
j. cont warnings 2 cain/pep n flood/phar/Isr/samson/saul/neb/pet/judas
k. how many warnings does G send n2 our lives yet we ignore
l. i think Gs hiding his will but often i have 2 jump over it 2get my way
m. pr19 pep ruin their lives by doing things their way&then blame G.
n. rather than investing time neces2discov/prep4Gs will we spend our time dealing with conseq of not knowing/doing Gs will.
o. mar prep/$/rearing kids/addressing rel probs early/good books
3. never2late2do wats right/wise/good: Gs grace is greater than my sin
a. vs22 take courage 4 none of u will loose ur life.
b. rm8 G wks all things 2gether 4 our good. *sol came from dav/bath
c. phil1 im confid he who began a good wk n u will cont it2completion
